Build a beer tap that can track the amount of beer being poured. A portion of the sales will go to charity.
I was responsible for how the beer tap functions within the constraints set by the client. The beer tap had to be self-contained because of the wet environment it will be in. This meant the battery had to last several hours. The tap will have to be charged overnight.
I built several prototypes to test various components separately. This includes finding out the best way to mount the motor to drive the fishing reel, fitting the circuit boards and sensors into the handle of the fishing rod and finally fitting everything together.
