SouthEast Toyota Dealer Website

Client requested a CMS driven website to showcase their lineup of cars each year. The website should include 360 views of each car as well as color choices.

For the more popular models, there were to be landing pages they can drive from email and banner campaigns.

The website should also be available in English and Spanish.

I helped architect and develop the website in Drupal. This included the user experience for the whole website. Wireframes were done in Sketch and shared through InVision.

Even though we had a CMS back-end, we also developed a static-site generator within Drupal so what the customers see are static pages. If there are any updates, we just had to regenerate the site with the updated content.

Images were uploaded and parsed using an agreed upon naming convention so the administrator can bulk upload vehicle images for each color and the various angles.

I also developed a dealer locator page using Google Maps API which uses geolocation. This was very useful for mobile users.

I was also in charge of making this website mobile friendly, which the previous website was not. I was in charge of making the user interface flow smoothly between desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

I maintained the website for a few years until the client decided to take it in-house. I helped as a consultant with the migration to WordPress. I was available to answer any of their technical questions regarding the user experience as well as how each page should function.

The look and user experience of the current WordPress website is very close to the original Drupal website.
